How We Operate

GSM's operational concept is to bring together the technical expertise of Geosyntec's US-based staff with a highly qualified core group of personnel in Malaysia. Our Malaysia-based staff understands local regulations and their application, local practices and related considerations, and is experienced in completing work onsite to meet US standards and expectations.

We have well-established communications, methodologies, and protocols to ensure that we can effectively interface between our US and Malaysian operations. We routinely integrate the expertise of US-based Geosyntec practice leaders and key technical staff in developing solutions to our clients' local site issues.

We currently have 30 staff in our two GSM Malaysian offices. This includes 24 technical personnel who have environmental experience in both the US and Asia.

Our local staff is extensively trained (including training and assignments in our US offices) in health and safety, groundwater and soil sampling, contamination control, management of investigation-derived wastes, QA/QC, and other specialized technical areas.

GSM together with Geosyntec has successfully completed numerous assignments in the region, including projects in Malaysia, Philippines, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Thailand, and Kazakhstan.
