Eric Strecker Presents Stormwater, Sediments & Brownfield Re-Developments at Sediment Conference

PORTLAND, Ore.—Geosyntec principal Eric Strecker, PE, will present “Stormwater, Sediments & Brownfield Re-Development” at the CERCLA/MTCA 2010, Advanced Sediment Conference on April 22, 2010 at the Washington Convention Center in Seattle, Wash.  The conference is coordinated by the Environmental Law Education Center in Oregon. 
 
Eric’s presentation will be given during the “Stormwater, Source Control, CSOs & Contaminated Sediment” session at 4 p.m.  He will cover:
 
  • strategies for minimizing recontamination and associated liability concerns to encourage re-development
     
  • considerations for selection and design of targeted, site-specific stormwater Best management practices
     
  • ways to minimize potential for sediment contamination and re-contamination

 
For more than 25 years, Eric has provided technical direction and assistance to public and private sector clients in stormwater master planning, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permitting, Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs), and surface water pollution assessment and control.  He has an MSE in civil engineering from the University of Washington as well as a BS in fisheries science and BS in environmental engineering from Humboldt State University. He was awarded the “State of the Art in Civil Engineering Award” by the American Society of Civil Engineers for his work to initiate and develop the International BMP Database.  Eric is based in Geosyntec’s Portland, Ore., office.
